About the wine
It's hard to believe what Markus Schneider has achieved over the last 22 years. In 1994, it started from scratch, so to speak. And today, 22 years later, he and his team cultivate 92 ha, and for about a year now also in the newly built winery building. He is described by the German trade press as The Phenomenon and The Favourite of the Young Scene.
Tasting note
Dark red, ripe fruits, spicy herbal notes and a little chocolate characterize the charming nose. Accessible cuvée with harmonious tannins and mild acidity that remains subtly in the background.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for red meat, pizza with mushrooms and Gruyère burgers.
Vinification
Manual harvesting, gentle pressing under low pressure, then ageing in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels.
