About the wine
The name Varvàra was chosen in honor of Baroness Varvàra Wrangler, wife of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca and great-grandmother of Count Federico Zileri Dal Verme, the current owner. This wine was born out of the desire to develop a closer product while keeping the fruit in the foreground.

Tasting note
Inky cherry red. Blackberries and ripe cherries are combined with dry toasted notes. Silky yet powerful on the palate. Fruity notes of raspberries and amarena cherries. Long lasting with a subtle dark chocolate finish. An exciting representative from Bolgheri.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with dark meat, lamb gigot, ragouts. Strongly seasoned pasta dishes such as lasagna etc.
