About the wine
During decades, the Rancan family, owners of the vineyards in Tregnago, in the heart of Valpolicella, delivered their grapes to the local winegrowers' cooperative. It was not until 2007 that Renzo Rancan decided to process the grapes himself and founded the Cantina Ca' dei Conti, where he was able to hire Fabio Melotto as an oenologist. The first vintages already showed the exceptional potential of the wines, and the Valpolicella Superiore “La Roara” in particular impressed with its incredible density and structure. This wine can be easily incorporated into an Amarone blind tasting session, and it will always be at the forefront!
Tasting note
The spicy fragrance spectrum of the Vescovo Moro Veronese IGT of black pepper and vanilla shows a complex aroma structure and plenty of pleasure potential. The dominant nuances of raspberry and green pepper shape their individual texture. Its fine light pink crowns every festive occasion with style and magic. You won't find this color in any color catalog. Medium-bodied and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which shows a lot of character and class, pleasantly with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Vescovo Moro Veronese IGT goes well with recent cheeses, game and roasts. Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 18°-20°C.
