Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2017 - Canneto

About the wine

The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano from Tuscany has enjoyed the greatest acclaim for centuries. While the king of wines was once reserved only for noble and wealthy families, it is now considered a great wine that does not have to be paid dearly. This applies in particular to the wines of Azienda Agricola Canneto. As early as the 1930s, the vineyard's vineyards and wines were considered among the best in the region. Since several Swiss friends, out of passion and love for Vino Nobile, took over the winery in 1987 and completely renewed it, only long-lasting wines of excellent quality have left the cellar. The classic Vino Nobiles are showered with praise and awards and Canneto is counted among the elite in Montepulciano.

Tasting note
Pep Guardiola. Fine thread, style, completely committed to the idea, but also to the system, to order. Distinguished and brilliant spirit, clear, fine, transparent and restrained dark red fruit, with a fine perfume, blossoms, rather quiet, yet not fragile, but firm, determined, with a clear idea that is also enforced with rigor and conviction, power through intelligence, the bright spice, noble and not broad, also spicy, Soft, strict notes, green peppers. On the palate with smooth but definite nobility, at first silk elegance, finesse, flow of play, then more definite, more distinctive, focused, more demanding, resolute and respectable in its narrow figure, spicy, noticeably fine tannins, noble, tart freshness, lasting impression. It's wonderful how spirit, reason and lean strength are combined here!
