About the wine
With the snappy Sangiovese 2012 — Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, you can offer your guests something very special. Blooming and fertile landscapes of Tuscany give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Caterina Dei conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Sangiovese is excellent to serve with pizza or beef.

Tasting note
The Vino Nobile has a bright ruby red color and smells intensely of ripe cherries and plums. If you give the wine some time to breathe, the bouquet offers red fruits, pumpkin and cranberry notes as well as subtle toasted notes. The taste is dry, balanced and with fine-grained tannins.

Vinification
The grapes for this wine grow on soils made from a mixture of clay and tuff sand. Gentle pressing is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels to 33 hl and stored in the bottle for another 6 months after bottling.
