The inhabitants of the winegrowing community of Vosne may only vaguely remember this today, but during Roman times, the Gauls who had served Caesar received vineyards as recognition. They were called “Romanée” with envy by the locals. When enjoying this classically structured Burgundy, you understand their envy. The bouquet reveals a fruity aroma (wild cherries), which is accompanied by subtle leather notes and mushroom aromas (black truffles). On the palate, texture and body are velvety, supple, and in the finale, the Vosne-Romanée shows finesse, complexity and harmony.
