About the wine
With the provocative red wine 2017 — Weingut Lindenhof Cabernet Merlot AOC Schaffhausen, you can offer your guests something very special. You can describe the landscape in Schaffhausen with such words as hilly. However, the Swiss Weingut Lindenhof is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this red wine. We think he succeeded successfully! Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Merlot is ideal to serve with slightly spicy red meat or duck.

Tasting note
Merlot has been successfully cultivated on the Lindenhof for 10 years. Native to Switzerland in southern Tessin, this grape variety feels particularly at home in warmer summers, which are known to have been piling up in the last decade. Cabernet in Klettgau is more like its counterpart from the Loire, with herbaceous notes and aromas of peppers. The combination of the two results in a strong red wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat dishes such as lamb, beef or game.
