About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Ansitz Waldgries has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and refinement are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the blooming and picturesque Trentino countryside. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Pinot Blanc is ideal to be served with octopus or fried poultry.
Tasting note
ISOS becomes ITOS. Due to a naming rights lawsuit, Christian Plattner had to rename his Weissburgunder, but the content remains equally brilliant. With fine pome fruit notes such as pear and golden delicious, plus fruity pineapple notes and a fine, herbal-mineral touch. Dense, full-bodied body, yet elegant with a fresh acid structure and delicate saltiness.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with South Tyrolean pasta dishes such as Schlutzkrapfen or bacon dumplings, white asparagus, but also with grilled tuna, grilled seafood such as octopus or shrimp, white meat and poultry.
