Tasting note
A very high-quality sparkling wine made in the same way as champagne. Queen Elizabeth II christened the cruise ship “Britannia” with this sparkling wine, although it is actually a shame to throw this wine at a ship! What stands out is the balance of this wine, enough body and power, beautifully combined with great and fresh sour, aromas of green apple and lime. Fine nut aromas from more than 4 years of bottle fermentation. The perlage is of very high quality and makes the Wiston Brut NV very elegant.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Drink this sparkling wine at a slightly chilled 8°-10°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: Now until 2024. With appetizers, crustaceans and fish dishes, Flaschenpöstler recommends this Wiston Brut NV.
Vinification
Over 4 years of bottle fermentation. 7g/l residual sugar. 20% reserve wine, based on the 2014 vintage.
