Tasting note
The nose is complex and inviting, featuring Morello cherry, cranberry, raspberry, and a touch of cotton candy, rose petal, and acacia flower. The palate shows red apple and nectarine aromas with hints of green plums, citrus fruits and rose water. The wine is concentrated and balanced with a well-rounded, supple middle palate and integrated natural acidity. It finishes clean and fresh with an attractive cherry finish and a touch of exotic spices and peaches. Great mouthfeel and complexity for a wine made in this style.

Vinification
Our classic blend again consists of our three Mediterranean grape varieties, Syrah, Mourvèdre and a pinch of Viognier, with a higher Syrah content, because we like to work with this robust variety that has a nice aroma of violets, blackberries, ripe plums and blackberries. Paired with a spicy, peppery profile, it is a trademark of the Wolftrap. the Mouvrede from Swartland gives the wine a smoky character and aromas of red fruits. The low amount of Viognier contributes to liveliness. A rustic Rhone assemblage in classic Chateauneuf du Pape style. The various grape varieties of this highly popular blend were fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and some were then aged in French barriques for 9 months before they were blended and the blend was bottled.
