About the wine

The Blaue Zweigelt is Austria's most popular red wine variety and originates from the intersection of St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch. The Zweigelt is characterized by its cherry fruit and a juicy, soft style. Heideboden is the plain between the Parndorfer Platte and the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. Warm, sandy and well-drained soils provide the conditions for classically aged, drinkable wines.

Tasting note
Bright cherry red with purple reflections. On the nose, spicy aromas of cherry and plum. Juicy on the palate, elegant with spicy acidity, an animating finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes perfectly with goulash and paprika chicken. Ideal companion to freshwater fish such as zander and pike.
