Arbois Rouge La Capitaine AOC 2018 - Domaine de la Pinte

About the wine

With courage, with a location (14 ha, La Pinte à la Capitaine) and a grape variety (Savagnin), Roger Martin started in 1953 in Arbois, the center of viticulture in the Jura. And it continued so courageously under son Piere Martin, who expanded to 34 ha and switched to biodynamic viticulture in 2009. You smell it, you taste it. Bewitching wines that have enough of everything, of nothing too much, and that certain something: finesse, aroma, structure, harmony, and: character. Every wine is a discovery, great soloists and food companions. Extraordinary, outstanding natural wines, no beasts, untamed beauties!

Tasting note
Mother Nature's harmony in the river, this natural warmth, moist light earth, slightly stalky notes, the so tempting, fresh red berries, this juicy and ethereal freshness, there is also something magical about how it unfolds in such a balanced way. Floating river on the palate that combines peace and tension, everything in its place, space for everything, clear red so natural fruit, the gentle tension, this trickling of tannins, the unagitated natural freshness, lightness due to the harmony of diversity, a stroke of luck, at this price! Preferably a little chilled!
