About the wine

The small, up-and-coming company Pietradolce focuses on local grape varieties and is becoming increasingly important. The winery from the Solicchiata area, which belongs to the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, is located directly on Mount Etna, has achieved cult status in a very short time. The team of winemakers Michele and Mario Faro — both passionate wine collectors and known as flower sellers across the country's borders — focuses their work on the autochthonous Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Carricante grape varieties.
