About the wine

The winery received its name in 1704, when the owners returned from an exhausting trip from Cape Town, where they sold their wine, and found all their belongings destroyed by fire. Everything seemed lost... The winery has been owned by the Malan family since 1872. Danie Malan runs the winery in the fifth generation.

Dark ruby red. Bouquet of ripe berries with spicy notes of oak wood. Concentrated and full on the palate with a rounded, fruity finish.
