About the wine

The upheavals at the beginning of the 20th century and in particular the First World War, which destroyed half of the Louis Roederer domain, prompted Léon Olry Roederer to rebuild his vineyard. He decided to buy grapes to ensure the continued existence of the house in these times of crisis. At the same time, he created a wine from several vintages with a consistent taste, regardless of the harvest year - today's Brut Premier.
