About the wine
The Te Koko 2021 is initially closed in the nose, but unfolds with notes of subtle tropicity, honey and graphite. On the palate, it is extremely full-bodied, with complex layers of peaches, pickled citrus fruits and roasted nuts. A fine acid structure and tempting salty minerality balance the intense fruit core and provide a fresh, palate-cleansing finish.

Culinary recommendation
Te Koko offers unexpected and provocative combinations with a wide range of dishes. Be sure to try it with Chinese-style crispy pork belly, lively spicy dishes, or smoked salmon.
Vinification
Ferments in French oak barrels with local yeasts and gains complexity over four to five months. The wine then rests in barrels on the fine lees for 15 months before being blended and matured in the Cloudy Bay cellars.
