About the wine
You will definitely enjoy the fine Cordillera Carmenère, which was produced in 2014. The winemaker from the Chilean winery Miguel Torres has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and sunny landscape of the Valle Central.
Tasting note
High color intensity in the glass The aromas powerfully express the character of the Carmenère variety (forest fruits, eucalyptus and leather, liquorice and black pepper). Great fullness on the palate and strong tannins. Retronasal aromas of toasted bread and spices that end in a long finale. A classic and elegant Carmenère that's fun!

Vinification
The Cordillera Carménère has its origins in the famous Peumo terroir in the Cachapoal Valley. The valley has a sub-humid Mediterranean climate and its very warm days and very cold nights, which are influenced by the Cachapoal River, allow for a longer maturation period, which is ideal for these vines. After fermentation, the Cordillera Carmenère is aged for 12 months in French barriques (30% new wood).
