About the wine
The present Tempranillo 2008 — Coto de Imaz Rioja DOCa Reserva is the missing piece of the puzzle in your wine rack. Fertile and picturesque landscapes of the Upper Ebro give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery El Coto de Rioja conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Tempranillo is excellent to serve with red meat or polenta.
Tasting note
Color: Dense, brilliant ruby, purple shimmer, colorproof Aromatics: Typical aromas of ripe, velvety plum notes, figs, dried fruit, citrus, fine earthy shade of undergrowth, fine spice. Body: Very long start, seductive fruit sweetness, strong body, good tannins, fine, still present acidity, wonderfully aromatic in the aftertaste. Quality: Harmonious, full-bodied wine of great quality with potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Peking style lamb minced in rice wine, high-backed steak with Provencal vegetables and fried potatoes.
