About the wine
Monkey Republic is a project by Julien Lagahuzere, the brains behind Gipsy Wines. It brings together young winemakers from several growing regions in a large band of monkeys. They create different wines with their respective signature, grape varieties and terroirs.

Tasting note
“The Dead Monkey” is a single-varietal Pinot Noir that was aged in wooden barrels. The wine shows a very elegant and seductive nose with aromas of currants, cherries, strawberries, undergrowth, smoked meat, cloves, slate seasoning, orange zest, chocolate, mineral accents and violets. Juicy, highly elegant, animating on the palate, fine fruit, delicately spicy, deeply mineral, enormous depth, complex, beguiling and lingering for a very long time.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Dead Monkey Pinot Noir Mosel goes well with duck, red meat and cheese. Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: Now until 2020.
