About the wine
Walter Massa met with a lot of incomprehension and shaking of his head in the 1980s when he decided to use the autochthonous Timorasso grape variety. It is mainly thanks to him that the variety is now being cultivated again by several winemakers in Piedmont. Walter Massa doesn't think much of fashion trends, but is nevertheless open to innovation. With great commitment and dedication to this variety, he brought in the first harvest of a single-varietal Timorasso in 1987.
Tasting note
On the nose, green apples, citrus zests, fresh cut flowers and some almonds. Fine tannins, delicate minerality and a compact body characterize the palate, with aromas of apples, pears, lemon peel and honey notes. Very complex, exciting and persistent finish.
