About the wine
Schola Sarmenti, home to beautiful walls from the nineteenth century, stands vineyards with autochthonous grape varieties with vines up to 80 years old, which are skillfully and patiently tended. During the harvest, only the best grapes are selected, which were allowed to grow in an environment of respect and love for nature.
Tasting note
The figurehead of Schola Sarmenti: The Primitivo Dicotto from 80-year-old vines - of enormous power, dense, yet elegant, great! Intensive ruby red. On the nose, intoxicating aromas of red fruits and balsamic notes, complex, spicy roasted aromas. On the palate, velvety aromatic notes, excellently integrated tannins, which give the wine a good framework. Very, very long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Goes perfectly with risotto, pizza and brasato.
Vinification
14 months in new French barriques.
