About the wine
Venus la Universal was founded in 1999 by the gifted oenologist Sara Pérez and is now run by her husband Rene Barbier Jr. They work in harmony with nature, cultivation and expansion follow biodynamic principles (currently not certified). Venus la Universal is one of many fascinating projects by the two winemakers, whose fathers kissed the priory awake with Mas Martinet and Clos Mogador. Sara Pérez and René Barbier Jr. are now continuing the Spanish wine fairy tale of their legendary fathers with great success not only in Priory, but also in Montsant.
Tasting note
Little fluffy clouds. Beautiful warm pink sheep cloud sky, everything is very soft, creamy, bright red fruits, strawberries, apricot, just a hint of undergrowth, Mediterranean herbs, thyme, like warm air, soft red glow. On the palate very gentle, soft, creamy, warm harmony, bright red fruit, stone fruit, warm tones, a dream of an evening sky, very gently fresh bise, melting tannins, mild. Like great luck, so beautiful, warm and mild. Wonderful rosé.
