About the wine
Luigi Einaudi was an economist, university lecturer, journalist and democrat, as well as the second president of the “Repubblica Italiana”. He is the founder of the traditional winery Poderi Luigi Einaudi in Dogliani in Piedmont. After his death in 1961, the estate was somewhat neglected, but in the 80s his granddaughter Paola Einaudi took over the lead and helped it regain new splendor. Today, her son, Matteo Sardagna Einaudi, continues the story and has turned it into one of the most prominent wineries in Piedmont, with the credo “eleganza e territorialità”, which is reflected in his wines.

Tasting note
Dense crimson. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits with a fine spicy note. Surprisingly velvety on the palate for Dolcetto with juicy fruit, subtle acidity and soft tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
With various pasta dishes, vegetable casserole, starters with white meat, grilled fish and medium-aged cheese.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation at 28° Celsius in stainless steel tanks and cement tanks. Expansion also partly in the steel tank and partly in the cement tank and in the bottle. Will go on sale in early summer after harvest.
