About the wine

André Lorentz, who hails from southern Alsace, gave up his own winery to follow his great love: Andrée, heiress of Maison Klipfel in Barr. A heartfelt decision for this great wine lover, who put his experience at the service of another name in the fifties. However, he followed his father's clever advice to “put his Lorentz labels on Barr's bottles.” His private collection, which is unique in Alsace and represents a real small museum, comprises all the tools of a winemaker and represents the development of winemaking professions and wine over the centuries. This passionate collector leaves behind a historically significant legacy marked by love for wine.
