Hannes Reeh's wines should be authentic and simply good. That's why the young Austrian relies on methods that are as uncomplicated as possible, or – as he likes to say – «no-frills wines». His wines are unadorned and unfiltered, just like good rock music. Hannes Reeh processes the best of each vintage of Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay into an «unplugged» version. Reeh adopted the term from the rock band Nirvana. The album «Unplugged in New York» had been like a revelation for him as a teenager.

Pure emotion, without cosmetics and amplification... That's how he wanted to make his wines: unfiltered, unadulterated, spontaneously fermented. Today, the Unplugged wines are the trademark of Hannes Reeh. With his Zweigelt Unplugged, he has even won the Austrian Zweigelt Grand Prix. Truly an excellent wine: tightly woven with rich, fresh fruit, beautiful texture and a diverse spectrum of aromas. Regardless of the success, wines and winemakers remain unagitated and authentic – simply unplugged.
