About the wine
Graceful landscapes in Levante give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Spanish winery Castano conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Monastrell is excellent to serve with Brasato or sausages.
Tasting note
The floral aromas of violets, roses and smoke express a lot of character with a very special structure. Afterwards, the playful nuances of blueberry, plum and blackberry reveal their own character. Medium-bodied and distinctive acidity result in the red wine, which shows a lot of character and class with dominant tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for lamb, sausages and spare ribs. Our recommendation: The perfect drinking temperature for the red wine is a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: now until 2016.
