About the wine
One of the most famous and best wines in Puglia, which matures for twelve months in French barriques. Complex nose with notes of ripe fruit, leather, tobacco and warm spices. A true Apulia classic, first vinified in 1971.
Tasting note
Dense, dark ruby. Complex nose with notes of ripe fruit, some leather, tobacco and warm spices. On the palate, rich with lots of melting, structured, balanced. The aromas of the nose are repeated. The aftertaste is long and is characterized by the structure and ripe aromas of the wine. A true Puglia classic — first vinified in 1971.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with racy pasta and hearty meat dishes.
