Elvillar is a small town in the province of Alava, which belongs to the Rioja Alavesa wine-growing region. The Tempranillo vines for this powerful wine were planted in 1960 and the single vineyard La Poza de Ballesteros covers only 1.18 hectares. Exposure to the afternoon sun and deeper soils give the grapes more ripeness. On the palate, it convinces with a great depth of fruit with dark fruit aspects, a hint of mint and tobacco. It ends with suppleness, supported by dense and well-structured tannins. Very expressive and profound!
