The Lagrein “Sepp” grows at 350 m above sea level below the Leuchtenburg ruins, on warm alluvial soil and porphyry bedrock. This unique location, with its deep soil, makes it possible to produce a complex Lagrein with good shelf life. Its scent is very typical of the variety with aromas of wild cherries, blackberries, slightly tart sloes, Mediterranean herbs, bay leaves and Damascus rose petals. On the palate, it is dark-fruity and spicy, elegant and fresh. Dark heart cherries are accompanied by black pepper and elegant roasted aromas.
