About the wine
The gravelly, calcareous soils in Burgundy offer the winemaker from the French winery Moillard-Grivot everything he needs to live out his craft and make a wine for discerning connoisseurs. With the powerful Pinot Noir 2011 — Les Epenots 1er Cru Pommard AOC, you can offer your family and friends something very special. Tasting note
Medium ruby red with sparkling garnet reflections, colourtight. Delicate silk bouquet, very typical of strawberries and cherries, subtle spiciness paired with beautiful growing notes (smoke, wood), fine earthy nuance. Long drink, noticeable notes of compote on the palate, fine tannins in the middle section, well-integrated acidity, extended aromas in the aftertaste. Elegant wine that reflects its origins - is now fun.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game specialities, stews, cheeses, and serves an excellent fish accompaniment when cold.
