About the wine
The Finca Ambrosia winery is located in Gualtallary near Mendoza. With the support of the well-known terroir expert Pedro Parra, the cultivation of the soil and the vines was refined to obtain the best quality from the grapes. Robert Parker already rated the first vintage of the young winery with 95 points, which already gave an idea of the potential of the subsequent vintages.
Tasting note
Deep ruby red, intense scent of blackberries, black cherries and notes of caramel and licorice. Pleasant balance on the palate, ripe berry fruit again, supportive tannins and tobacco. Great freshness and complexity.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at slightly chilled 15°-18°C. Flaschenpost team recommends this Malbec Vina Unica to accompany meatballs with tomato sauce, curry and game.
Vinification
After selective manual harvesting, destemming is carried out and a cool maceration period is applied. The subsequent fermentation is initiated with wild yeasts and the pomace cap is regularly knocked under. It is then gently pressed using pneumatic presses and the wine matures for the following 18 months in new Burgundy barrels.
