About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Serpaia di Endrizzi masters this red wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape of Tuscany. If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this outstanding Sangiovese 2015 — Morellino di Scansano DOC! Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Sangiovese can be served very well with beef or lamb.
Tasting note
The typical aromas of Sangiovese flow out of the glass — violets, cherries and blue forest berries whet the appetite for the first sip; on the palate, the Morellino presents itself with a well-balanced structure and a soft body, again dark fruit, complemented by an exciting spiciness.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with specialities from Italian cuisine, Fiorentina, Osso Buco and fine grilled meats.
Vinification
After a mash contact for about 20 days, it is aged for 8 months in large Slovenian oak barrels and a further 2 months for refinement in the bottle.
