About the wine
The castle of Auvernier is one of the links between former and present size. In 1914, 400 bottles of Pinot noir Château d'Auvernier from 1911 were emptied on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prussian Guard. Today's lord of the castle, Thierry Grosjean, is initiative and cosmopolitan, and his wines are also highly appreciated abroad
Tasting note
Delicate bouquet of white flowers and green apple. Distinctive and racy on the palate. Typical variety with a popular, sparkling note.
Culinary recommendation
It is the ideal aperitif wine, it accompanies hors d'oeuvres very well, but has a special affinity for fish dishes, white meat and fondues. with white wine sauce.
Vinification
The average age of the vines is 30 years. The grape harvest is done by hand. Yeast is added to the carefully pre-clarified must and then ferments at a controlled temperature of around 18°C.
