About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Col d'Orcia has absolutely mastered his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing landscape of Tuscany. With this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — Olmaia IGT, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The Flaschenpost team promises a culinary experience when you offer this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or pizza with mushrooms.
Tasting note
The Olmaia presents itself in a deep ruby red color. The incredibly lush fruit of blackcurrants, cassis liqueur and fully ripe blackberries is accompanied by hints of licorice and juniper, as well as by a dreamy mineral undertone. On the palate, Olmaia is initially very full-bodied and ripe, yet elegant and perfectly balanced. The finish is also wonderfully tasty, with vital freshness and well-balanced tannins.
