About the wine

With the special Pinot Grigio DOC Castel Ringberg from 2017, you will positively surprise your friends. The winemaker from the Italian winery Elena Walch masters this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and fertile landscape.

Tasting note
Der Pinot Grigio Castel Ringberg erstrahlt in einem leuchtenden, intensiven Gelb. Reife Aromen von Früchten sowie würzige Noten prägen das vielschichtige Bouquet. Eleganz und Harmonie dominieren im Gaumen, verbunden mit eleganter, ansteckender Frische und cremiger Fülle. Mineralisch und saftig endet dieser Wein mit einem langanhaltenden Abgang.
Vinification
Ein Teil der Trauben vergärt nach sanftem Pressen und statischer Klärung im Stahltank bei kontrollierter Temperatur von etwa 20 °C. Knapp 15 Prozent des Weins wird in Barriques aus französischer Allier-Eiche vergoren mit anschliessendem biologischem Säureabbau. Im Frühjahr erfolgt die Assemblierung.
