Giacomo Tachis, the creator of legendary wines such as Sassicaia, inspired Paolo Panerai to plant Pinot Nero as well. The label of the bottle of l'Eterno adorns the hand of the sculpture “Eternity” by Giacomo Serpotta (1656—1732). Serpotta, sculptor and decorator of the Baroque period, came from Palermo. The grapes come from the municipality of Niscemi at 270 meters above sea level. 6000 vines were distributed over one hectare and raised in the Guyot system. The wine is aged in new barriques. 6000 bottles are sold annually. The nose is characterized by violet, gooseberry and raspberry scents, as well as tobacco and spiciness. The body is rich and soft, the taste lasts a long time.
