About the wine
To get a feel for the hilly and mountainous landscape aesthetics of Valais, there is no way around this red wine, which the Swiss winery Adrian Mathier masters with a keen sense of texture. With the delicious Pinot Noir Non Filtre de Salquenen AOC from 2016, you will positively surprise your friends.
Tasting note
Schönes, leuchtendes Kirschrot. Frisch und fruchtig an der Nase, wobei die Aromen von vollreifen Kirschen und roten Beeren hervorstechen. Schöner, fruchtiger Auftakt im Gaumen, mit seidig feinen Tanninen, die sich im Abgang sehr angenehm entwickeln. Sehr harmonisch und ausgewogen. Die Frucht des Pinot Noir kommt voll zum Tragen.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with venison, pork, cheese platters, veal, grilled meats and poultry.
Vinification
Mehrmalige Soutirage (4-5 Mal) anstelle einer Filtration, eine natürliche Klärung durch mehrmaliges Umziehen. Verzicht auf strapazierende Kelterungstechniken - eine Vinifikation wie zu Grossvaters Zeiten. Es kann sich auf dem Flaschenboden ein natürliches Depot bilden.
