About the wine
We have a special, strong red wine from 2013 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The landscape in Lower Austria is hilly and mountainous, whose breathtaking expanses don't fit on a poster, but in a bottle. With a lot of feeling and experience, the winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Schloss Gobelsburg ensures that his craft inspires and convinces you. Tasting note
The Pinot Noir Reserve from Gobelsburg Castle impresses with its refinement, elegance and balance. On the nose, red berry fruit, fine wood spice, ripe, silky tannins, good acidity and good length. The 2018 vintage was rated the best foreign Pinot Noir under CHF 50 at the NZZ tasting in March 2021.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised vegetables, game, steaks and all other dark meats. Also excellent with hard cheeses.
Vinification
12 months in new and used barriques.
