About the wine

According to Jan Coetzee's presentation, a Cape Blend of at least three grape varieties and predominantly Pinotage should be vinified. And so the Vriesenhof Pinotage is a cuvée to his liking: Pinotage grapes with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz.

Pinotage WO
Sparkling garnet ruby in color. Full-bodied and characteristic wine with notes of plum, cassis, leather and a hint of savory. Finely underlaid tannins, pleasant acidity on the palate with notes of sour cherries.
Venison, lamb, beef
24 months aging in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new barriques
