About the wine
At the beginning of the 80s, the Garcia hotelier family from Burgos acquired the old cooperative in Gumiel de Mercado. Love for wine played an important role in this great commitment. Under the leadership of sisters Carolina and Yolanda, the company has risen to the top of the Ribera del Duero. Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo) in particular is planted on 100 ha of vines.
Tasting note
This wine comes from vines that are over 30 years old. The grapes were harvested by hand. It matured for over three years in French, American and European oak barrels and then in bottles for three years. A cru with a very dark red color, concentrated and structured with roasted aromas, aromas of undergrowth and with a nice aroma persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat sauce, grilled lamb, hard cheese.
