About the wine
The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Castello Banfi conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. If you're looking for something special, then you can't miss out on this snappy Sangiovese 2016 — Rosso di Montalcino DOC. Tasting note
Dense ruby red Elegant, fruity nose. This is accompanied by fine aromas of warm spices, surrounded by subtle oak wood notes. Impressive concentration on the palate. The aromas of the nose are repeated. Balanced, elegant and juicy.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat and pasta with spicy sugo.
Vinification
Harvesting the grapes is followed by maceration in steel tanks for ten days. The young wine is aged for 3-6 months, partly in 60 hl and 90 hl French oak barrels and partly in 350 L French oak barrels.
