About the wine
Choosing a sustainable champagne couldn't be easier and more stylish, as Ruinart presents the distinctive new packaging for Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2010 made from 100% chalk paper. Based on the company's groundbreaking Second Skin packaging and inspired by the chalk cellars in Reims, the geometric design is as beautiful as it is practical. It is made without plastic and is adapted to the bottle. It also has a handmade Dom Ruinart logo in golden hot stamping.

Tasting note
The nose is initially powdery, floral (iris) and mineral (wet rock) and evokes associations with chypre scents. Roast and spicy notes then come to the fore: mace, roasted hazelnuts and almonds as well as a touch of coffee are reminiscent of enveloping, soothing perfumes. Sparkling notes of ripe citrus fruits powerfully underline the aromas of this vintage. Dom Ruinart 2010 offers an intense and lively taste experience. It impresses with its unique aromatic intensity. Aromas of fresh fig leaves blend with notes of black tea and fresh spices (siltimur berries, mahaleb). The aromas develop in layers into a complex mouthfeel and result in a fresh, elegant bitterness finish. Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2010 is a great, seductive Chardonnay wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with black Périgord pork fillet, Jerusalem artichoke, lovage oil and roasted chestnut shavings. Blue lobster from Brittany smoked with vines and spruce needles, daikon leaves, cream sauce with wakame seaweed and lemon zest. Leeks in various textures (grilled, fried, pureed), potato truffle sabayon.
