About the wine
What Markus Schneider has achieved in recent years is hard to believe. In 1994, it started from scratch, so to speak. And today, 22 years later, he and his team work on over 92 hectares, bottles around 800,000 bottles a year and is described by the German trade press as The Phenomenon and The Favorite of the Young Scene.
Tasting note
Light golden yellow, extremely aromatic and intense on the nose with aromas of grapefruit, lime, gooseberries and freshly mowed grass. On the palate, with stimulating acidity and notes of kiwi, grapefruit and green asparagus. Persistent on the finish with pleasant fruity notes and subtle minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Sauvignon Blanc «Kaitui» trocken harmoniert ideal mit Muscheln, Fisch und Geisskäse.
Vinification
After selective manual harvesting, immediate cooling of the grapes. Controlled fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks.
