About the wine
After studying oenology in Milan, the two genuine and somewhat crazy Valtellinesi Davide Fasolini and Pierpaolo Di Franco founded the Dirupi winery in 2004. In order to realize their dream of the perfect Nebbiolo, the two 3-hectare vineyards in the steepest areas of Valtellina, which are divided into an incredible 18 plots of land. In the same year, they were able to launch their first vintage of 1600 bottles. Today, they produce around 35,000 bottles and are still absolute micro-producers.
Tasting note
Aromas of ripe wild berries, dried violets and roses on the nose, accompanied by dried herbs, black tea, tobacco and spices. On the palate, the Valtellina Superiore Riserva is intense and dense, but also shows a lot of freshness. The aftertaste is long and complex with ripe fruit, herbs and spicy notes.

Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: Valtellina Superiore Riserva DOCG Grumello harmoniert bestens mit Burrata, Rindfleisch und Pizza.
