About the wine
With experience and instinct, the winemaker from the South African winery Vergelegen masters this white wine in the fertile and beautiful landscape of the Coastal Region. This provocative white wine 2016 — Vergelegen Sauvignon Blanc is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Sauvignon Blanc with fish or mussels.

Tasting note
Bright, bright, shimmering greenish yellow. Pure, lively aromas of lime blossom, gooseberries, ripe guava, fresh passion fruit and pineapple. Shows amazing elegance, the perfect balance between acidity and ripe fruit.
Culinary recommendation
It is best to drink well chilled in summer, but it also goes very well with a light lunch.
Vinification
The grapes from the selected vineyards were harvested by hand at the time of maximum ripeness and transported in wooden crates to the Vergelegen cellar. Plots were selected, which are individual rows or parts of blocks, and everything was vinified separately. This means that some plots were fermented in barrels, wood tanks, cement tanks, stainless steel tanks or stainless steel barrels.
