About the wine
The winery can look back on an eventful history. But it wasn't until Jens Reidel and Christine Dinse took over the estate in 2009, made Karsten Peter cellar master and turned everything off its head on its feet that they resumed the brilliant times of the 1960s to 1980s. Gut Hermannsberg only owns large plants and there is hardly a winery in Germany that has such an abundance and variety of top locations. Even the entry-level Riesling shows unequivocally that this potential is being fully exploited. This is no longer a secret and Gut Hermannsberg is overwhelmed with lots of praise, points and awards.
Tasting note
Assertive diplomat. First appears noble and balanced, ripe apple, pear and flowers, with an inviting warm touch, honey and almond, some herbs. Very present on the palate, large body, dark sweet fruit and herbs give it emphasis, saying goodbye with a harmonious and friendly gesture. Serious White Burgundy from a great Pinot Blanc year!
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: White Burgundy dry goes well with hard cheese, fried poultry and smoked salmon.
