About the wine

The first impression of the luxurious “Yatir Forest” with a touch of its inspiring aroma is one of richness. With various scents of blueberries, black plums, black cherries and leather, this wine expresses its full varietal character in an elegant form. This recommended wine has a wonderful and classic, long finish. The flagship wine of “Yatir Winery” is a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec. In order to retain the “Yatir” character of the wine, the blend for this wine varies from year to year depending on the quality of the harvest. The grapes come from several plots where the highest quality vines are produced. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, a third of which are new. After bottling, the wine remains in the wine cellar to mature in the bottle for a further two years. In the face of the passion offered by “Yatir Forest”, it can be very difficult to refrain from opening. However, the wine reaches its peak within a few years and, under suitable conditions, can remain in the best drinking condition for over a decade. Try the wine with tender filet mignon, a delicious beef brisket or a peppery steak salad.
