The grapes come from the famous Helderberg, the mountainous area around Stellenbosch. With their fanastic climate and the combination of unique soils such as decomposed dolomite granite, Table Mountain sandstone and “Koffieklip,” these mountains are considered the first-class terroir for CabernetSauvignon in South Africa, which often contribute to the typical Cape Garrigue or Fynbos character. The intense dark berry fruit on the nose merges into an exceptionally balanced palate with fine-grained but rustic tannins and hints of garrigue.
