About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been at the forefront since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is now also one of the best wine cooperatives in the world. The winery has been managed by the outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer since 1977.

Tasting note
Softly flowing, dense in aroma with a variety of aromas reminiscent of ripe, red fruits. Notes of ripe cherries and wild berries. Dark, lively ruby red color with warm fruit of raspberries and rose hips with a supportive, fresh acidity. The tannins are very delicate and perfectly integrated.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes such as lamb meat, roasts, game dishes and spicy cheese.
Vinification
Fermentation in steel tanks. Subsequent biological acid decomposition and aging in large wood.
