About the wine
Give yourself joy for the senses with the delicious Ampio delle Mortelle Toscana IGT from 2015! The winemaker from the Italian winery Le Mortelle has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing landscape of Tuscany.
Tasting note
Dark ruby red in the glass with delicate aromas of black pepper, currants and light nuances of tobacco and black chocolate. The wine is structured with velvety tannins and leaves a long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a lamb gigot, roast beef or even aged cheese.
Vinification
At Le Mortelle, gravity causes the grapes to flow from the press down to the barrel. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation then takes place in new French oak barrels. The wine is then stored for 18 months before the final blending. The wine then matures for a further 12 months in the bottle.
